Oscars 2012 Red Carpet: Glam & Gutsy

You should have seen me yesterday with the TV on, tweeting on my mobile and making dinner all at the same time. Hilarious, but so it is for the life of a die-hard Oscars fan and blogging multi-tasker.

I’m getting a bit particular in my Oscar dress picks, because it’s not just about the dress for me. It’s about the woman in the dress. I was tweeting with Kristin from BonBonRoseGirls, Phong Bui from Lovely40Plus, and Vandna from @Dr.Jerath and we had a great time sharing the Oscar moments.

Best-Dressed (in order)

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton

Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji

Rose Byrne in Vivianne Westwood

Gutsy

This was fashion for fashion’s sake. These two always look great and continue to push their fashion foot forward.

Emma Stone in Giambatista Valli

Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford

Alright, lay it down for me. Who was your favorite last night?

  1. I thought Gwyneth looked wonderful. I also liked the others you show. Not a fan of Angelina’s look or her “leg out” deal. To me it looked amateur but it is getting quite a bit of press. All in all enjoyed the Oscars and Billy Crystal.

  2. I loved the ones you selected. Not having watched the “Hollywood Olympics” for a long time, I was fascinated by it all. Except (I agree with Diane) for Angelina, who looked ridiculous. I kept thinking I was missing out on some joke and just wasn’t with it. Someone could explain it to me.
