First off, Happy New Year! I’m so glad to ring in 2013 with such wonderful people in my life. I count my blessings for all the people I make contact with, both in person and online. Thank you for being in my life and for making it so rich.
The last 15 days have been a whirlwind of activity and merry-making. I’m sure it was the same for you. I took a few pictures along the way and thought you might like to see.
Left-to-right, top-to-bottom: road-trip to Aspen, me & my mom on Christmas Eve, tea at Ku Cha Tea house in Boulder, frosty cattails at the lake, outside the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Glenwood Canyon, yummy homemade latte (thanks honey).
We made a quick trip to Aspen before Christmas and it was so worth the effort. We got to ski as a family, the day after a much-needed 15″ dump of snow (to skiers, this is paradise). The sky was blue, the sun was out and it was a fun way to spend the Winter Solstice. I also got to check out the multi-million dollar renovation at The Hotel Jerome and it was gorgeous. The lobby, bar and restaurant had a mix of glamor, alpine lodge and cozy modern feel. And the people there were just flat out glamorous (as to be expected, darling).
The rest of the time was spent back home with family, drinking tea, eating a lot and staying warm.
Hope all is well for you. I’m very hopeful for 2013. Let’s do this thing!

I think of you often when I take photos and wish I had your skill (and camera). Most of these were taken with my phone, but still I love having them. Happy New Year to you! So glad to be in your world.

Sounds wonderful! So fun to see your mom!
Thanks! I know, I miss not having my mom close by. But they love where they live, so that makes me happy. Happy 2013!

Have a wonderful weekend!
She’s great in the kitchen and we got to make a few things. She had to take over on New Year’s Eve this time, because I got a stomach bug (of all the days…) It was great to see her and my dad for the holidays. I count my blessings every year. Happy weekend to you too!

What delightful pics of your life. The tea and the latte have got my mouth watering.
Bella! We have two amazing tea houses here, not the fancy kind, but the bohemian kind.
