Sweet Cherry Cobbler

The grocery stores and markets are filled with gorgeous produce right now, and I love it. The other day, we bought 3 pounds of sweet dark cherries at the store and after eating a few, we started dreaming of putting together a cobbler. Believe it or not, this was my first time making cherry cobbler. I’ve done apple, peach and pear before, but not cherry. I found a great looking recipe at Epicurious and wanted to put my own twist on it by adding lemon juice to the filling and lemon zest to the topping. I loved it and wanted to share it with you, since fresh cherries are in stores right now.

Get the full recipe here. It makes 4-6 servings, and the next time I make it, I’m going to double it for certain. Try it for summer entertaining, a potluck or anytime. Unlike other cobblers I’ve tried, it’s low in added sugar, because the cherries are bursting with sweetness already.
