Spring Trenches

Now that you’ve considered cleaning out your closet (well, thinking about it is the first step, right?), maybe you found a hangar or two that need filling. I have just the thing for you. When I saw these Spring 2010 RTW trenches, I fell in love a little bit and needed to share them.

Dior trench

This Dior trench is pretty much perfect with its cropped cut and a good option for someone petite.

Loewe leather trench

Loewe is a Spanish leather house out of Spain and they have cut this trench from paper-thin leather. The orange buttons are a fun pop of color on the khaki. Warm-weather leather is a big trend this Spring, with designers showing t-shirts, swingy dresses and skirts in their collections.

Marc Jacobs trench

Belting it, with a thin belt out of your closet, is an unexpected touch. Makes it seem so casual and gives the wearer a waist. The light gray color is nice option if you’re not into khaki or it washes you out.

These coats aren’t in stores yet, but I’m guessing they’ll fetch a pretty penny. Look for styles that mimic your favorite cut/color at a friendlier price point over the next month or so. You’ll want your choice to have a lining (good for keeping the garment’s structure and for easy slipping on and off). The good ones always sell out quickly.

  1. I’ve got a black trench, but some day I think I still want a classical one. Sabine x
