Kate Hudson killed it Sunday night at the 2010 Golden Globes in her Marchesa strapless silk crêpe gown. There were a lot of dresses to love, but when she came out, it was clear to me that she nailed it.
Here’s why this gown works so well on her. Kate doesn’t have an hourglass-shaped body, but the structure and well-placed volume on this dress made her look like a silver screen siren. The architectural bodice, with the ruffled top, gave her the illusion of a bigger bustline, which was beautifully balanced out by a nipped waist and the draping at the hip. Her jewelry was simple, with Stephen Russell tassel earrings, keeping the spotlight on her gorgeous silhouette. Kate has been a long-time client of stylist Rachel Zoe and I think that they collaborated beautifully on this one.
That’s my pick. Who stole the red carpet for you?
