Street Style: Stockholm

The Girl Who Played With Fire, by Stieg Larsson is the next book on my reading stack. After just finishing The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo last week, I’m ready for another spin around Sweden and its capital city, Stockholm. To stay in the mood of the setting, I’ve put up a Stockholm Street Style picture and a girl, who to me, has a similar quality to the protagonist in the first novel, Lisbeth Salander. The woman shown above is otherworldly, more than a bit edgy and has child-like, but tough quality to her look. She wears a Woolrich-esque, plaid coat with such panache, by taking a boyish style and making it feminine, urban and striking. Her vibrant hair color even brings out the rusty shade in the coat. Divine.

On another note, I’m not always good about asking for favors, but I thought I’d put this out there anyway. This blog became public in January 2010 and I have a personal goal of gaining a certain number of subscribers by the end of Q1 (March 31st). I’m only 50 subscribers short of this goal and I’m an optimist at heart. SO, if you know anyone who might be interested in fashion/style, please refer them to my blog. They can subscribe via RSS, email or Facebook, if they are so inspired. I swear, no one will hold a gun to their head. If you’ve been enjoying reading it, but have yet to subscribe, it’s time to pony up! C’mon, we’ll have fun together.

Thanks for your help!!
