Wedges: Step Right Up

(photo: Elle.com)

My mind is like a circus sometimes…what, oh right, my husband says my mind is like a circus all the time. Well, he’s got a point there. In the midst of numerous ideas being juggled around in my head, fashion-wise I’ve been obsessing about wedges this season. It’s true, wedges have been on my mind ever since the first sign of Spring and this is a great time to buy a pair of wedges (if you’re in need). Designers are putting out both classic and seriously, fashion-forward styles this year, like this pair of Camilla Skovgaard wedges above. If you’re unsure how to style your wedges, you can wear them as a sturdy counterbalance to voluminous tops, wide-leg pants, maxi skirts and sweet, feminine dresses. They also look great with cropped pants, because the chunky heel visually slims your calves. Grab a pair for the upcoming holiday weekend and get ready for the compliments. Here are some favorites of the season:

Classic

House of Harlow 1960 Hudson wedge, $275

Kors Michael Kors Vail D’Orsay wedge, $195

Colorful

WICKET leather-stitch wedges, Topshop $135

Pura Lopez suede wedge, $385

Night-out
Pour La Victoire Tyra Laser, $295

Juicy Couture Wanda wedge, $250

Casual
Modern Vintage Nelly wedge, $248

Chloe Low-wedge, $550

If you are still hungry for more wedges, here are some links:

Kasi Woven wedge, Free People $148

Pour La Victoire Tarissa wedge, $290
