New twist: Printed Heel Wedges

Annebeth (StylingDutchman.blogspot) via Chictopia

Printed-heel wedges are just now coming into my radar as a funky twist on a much-loved shoe. The extra color and patterning on the heels keeps things playful and cheeky, making them a good foil for neutral outfits.

While I might just be waking up to these off-beat, printed wonders, it comes as no surprise to me that Annebeth of StylingDutchman.blogspot, styled herself in these adorable wedges last summer. She’s so incredibly creative and has a very stylish sense of what looks fresh right now. Go check out her blog now and then come back, because I have things to show you. I also featured Annebeth in past posts of Tribal Council and Loving: Modern Prairie. She’s got my number, because I love everything she does.

Get Yourself A Pair

These are the easiest pair of heels to reach for in your closet. Wedges are like the training-wheels of high heels, which can be a good place to start after a few days in flats. Wear them with flippy skirts, maxi dresses, wide-leg pants, crops or long shorts. Here are some favorites with lively, printed heels:

Faryl Robin two-tone wedge **

**Hey Denver/Boulder: You can find these Faryl Robin wedges locally in Boulder at Two Sole Sisters (or online at Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters).

And lastly, for the tribal-inspired, towering wedge of the day…

Asos Haze printed wedge

C’mon, those are some seriously bad-ass shoes for less than $100 and would look amazing with a pair of black crops.

Which ones would you wear?

  2. I am an ardent fan of the wedge, so I do love the trend of printed wedges. In fact I love all the ones shown here. But the stand out for me is the two-tone wedge. In fact I’m off to click on the website so I can drool over them a bit more.

    • Bella,
You could seriously rock that two-tone wedge and do an outfit post with it. Congrats on your new store location. I’ve been keeping up with all your wonderful posts and looking forward to the next. Enjoy the day!
