Spring Drapery

It’s too early to think about spring shopping with any seriousness, but when I saw this newly arrived draped skirt from the Thakoon Addition collection, it really caught my eye. The teal color sings with its on-trend blue hue and the draped hem makes a friendlier version of a maxi skirt. Wear it for weekend, take it on vacation (a nice pool-to-dinner winner) and keep wearing it right through spring and summer for casual work days. Be on the look-out for more cuts like this one as you shop in the coming months. It’s bound to be a favorite.

p.s. Anyone else underwhelmed by this year’s dresses at the Golden Globes? Last year was better. I mean just look at Anne Hathaway, Mila Kunis and Emma Stone.  (A few) Best Dressed at the Golden Globes (Jan. 2011)

  1. It’s that “too short” thing again. I really like it and love the color, but couldn’t wear that cut.

The G Globes had a couple of nice dresses. I thought Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman had gorgeous dresses. Oh and Margolin’s was beautiful too. Too many looked like the tops and bottoms didn’t go together. Do you watch The Fashion Police? Last week j. rivers called Madonna’s black dress, black shoes, floor length black dress and bright red biker gloves a superhero outfit …..Captain Menopause!!! I laffed so hard. Elaine

I meant floor length black cape…

  2. What a beauty! That skirt is causing my heart to skip. I’m ready for spring already, and it’s only January! Sigh…

  3. That skirt is SO divine!

What's on your mind?
